Do you want a custom figure of someone’s Minecraft skin but can’t justify the high price? You’re in the right place! šŸŽ‰ Today, I’ll show you how to create a high-quality Minecraft figure just like the one in the image. So grab your tools, and let’s start… mining—er, I mean crafting! šŸŖ“āœØ

Supplies

Here’s what you’ll need:

  1. Blu Tack
  2. Scissors
  3. Printer
  4. An Internet-connected device (preferably a computer, not a phone)
  5. Clear Tape
  6. Paper
  7. Some LEGO pieces

Create the Structure

Using LEGO, create a simple structure that will hold your printed pieces. The pieces will stick on with Blu Tack, so don’t worry about ā€œimproperā€ building techniques.

Print the Skin

Go to this site and generate a papercraft of your Minecraft skin. Cut out all the pieces—but cut off the tabs, because we’re not doing traditional papercrafting. Traditional papercrafting make the figure fragile and tricky to assemble, but we want a sturdy figure!

Assemble the Figurine

Stick all the printed parts onto your LEGO base using Blu Tack. Leave the bottom of the feet, head, arms, and body free—that’s how the parts will connect like LEGO minifigs. Play around a bit until it looks just right!

Add a Glossy Finish

Want that shiny, store-bought look? Cover your figure with tape—but don’t tape the parts together, except the legs and arms. This keeps your figure detachable like a figure while giving it that glossy finish. ✨

(Optional) Cape

If you want a cape (well of course, it's stylish!):

  1. Cut a piece of paper roughly the size of the figure’s body (not including arms).
  2. Use pixel art to draw the front of the cape.
  3. Tape the front for a glossy effect.
  4. Attach it with Blu Tack to complete the look.

Celebrate! šŸŽ‰
