Beautiful Hanging From Dry Sponge Gourd

I was out for trekking. In one of the streamlet I saw many dry sponge gourds hanging on the small trees along the side. Few were open & their beautiful seeds were scattered on the ground. A though came to my mind to use these sponge gourds for home decoration & that was the starting point of this instuctable.

1. Dry Gourds
2. Cutter
3. Water Color's
4. Paint Brush
5. LED's
6. Two Batteries

Take a dry sponge gourd.

1. Remove Dry skin of the sponge gourd. Make sure the dry sponge remains intact inside.
2. Remove seeds from sponge gourd as shown in second photograph.

Dry sponge seeds.

1. Measure sponge gourd.
2. Take a paper tape.
3. Wrap paper tape diagonally around gourd as shown in 3rd photograph.
4. Fix paper using paper Pins.

1. Give water color in between two strips.
2. Remove paper tape as shown.

1 & 2. Colored Sponge Gourd Is Ready.

3.Try different colors to get more beautiful colored gourds.

1. Take LED's, connecting wires, cell, cell holder & create connection so that LED will glow.
2. Insert this LED inside one out of four opening.

Connect & insert more LED's from other openings.
