Cool Fold Up Piggy Bank With Cash Drawer
Introduction
In this project, I’ll show you how to build a Fold-up Piggy Bank that includes a built-in cash drawer. It is a simple, space-saving design made from cardboard and wood that helps you keep your coins in one safe place.
What you will learn:
- How to make a folding body.
- How to add a drawer for cash.
- How to assemble everything into a finished bank.
Supplies
Materials
Cardboard: Used for the main body and the sliding drawer.
Popsicle Sticks: Used for the ramp inside to bring the coin to the drawer.
Tools
Hot Glue Gun or Glue Sticks or Tape: For assembling the parts.
Utility Knife or Scissors: To cut the cardboard to size.
First things first, you need to FOLD a box shape you make out of cardboard. Refer to the picture above for the box shape.
Now, you need to tape it closed. Make sure you leave one end open!
Follow the Pictures and make a ramp out of popsicle sticks
Picture 1:get four large popsicle sticks.
Picture 2:tape two together, as shown in the picture.
Picture 3:add one end.
Picture 4:add the other end.
Picture 5:Use glue to support the ends.
Picture 6:DONE!
Connect the ramp like in the picture.
Once in, poke a coin sized hole right above the ramp. Make sure a coin will fit and go on the ramp. Test as needed.
Close up the top, then write something like "insert coin" on the front.
Cut a hole on the bottom back. This will be for the drawer.
Get more cardboard, Then cut a bottom that fits in the hole then sides as well.
Put the sides on, Then put a handle on, I used a q tip half!
Done! Do anything with it!
Paint it! Do whatever!
