With a minimalist aesthetic, this piece enhances desks, bookshelves, side tables, and living spaces with a serene, modern presence. Crafted from two distinct types of natural wood, I have made it with transparent glass test tubes that support live plants through hydroponic growth. I have designed the the wooden base to accommodate additional décor elements like a clock, vase, or reed diffuser, making it a versatile and complete decorative setup.
The harmonious blend of natural wood textures, clear glass, and fresh greenery creates a balanced visual appeal, while also allowing space for fragrance diffusion through reed sticks. This piece serves not only as a plant holder but also as a refined desk and bookshelf décor element that infuses any room with freshness, elegance, and artistic value.
Designed as a functional piece of art, it seamlessly integrates craftsmanship, sustainability, and aesthetics into a beautiful everyday décor solution.

Preparing Base
First cut the teak wood and cut in size of 4 X 6 X 1.5 cm, make a small hole in the main block of wood at a distance. This will serve as the base for the glass test tube. Use the Wood Carving Kit and the circular cutting drill for this task.
Drill for the Stand
Drill a hole in the wood to hold the top of the est tube support stand.
Cut the cedar or sesame raw wood into two pieces, each measuring 4 cm by 0.5 cm by 0.5 cm.
Prepare the Top Holder Stand
Drill four 4 cm by 0.5 cm by 0.5 cm wood blocks at a distance of 1.5 cm apart to create the test tube holder separators. The distance might change depending on the size and radius of the test tubes.
Making Base Stand for Test Tube Holder
Now, cut the circular wood sticks into small ice cubes as per the desired height, each 4 cm or 3 cm in length. Insert them inside the drilled hole of the base using wood glue and gently hammer them to fix them tightly.
Make Top Test Tube Holder
Cut small pieces of circular wood, approximately 0.8 cm in size. Adjust the size according to the texture of the wood. Drill holes in the cedar or sesame raw wood blocks that were made earlier.
Fixing the Glass Tube Holder
Now, fix the glass tube holder above the base stand using wood glue. Then, use a nail to secure it properly.
