Most desk organisers consist of a pencil holder and a platform for desk necessities like paper clips. This desk organiser allows the user to display personal items that do not go into those categories of a traditional organiser but yet still maintaing a tidy desk. It is able to hold large flat objects like perhaps a music box but also smaller compartments for the paper clips that you do need. It combines both office necessity as well with design.

First, sketch out a box or rectangle and extrude it to how thick you wish the base to be.

Next, draw out different size boxes onto the face of the box you extruded in the previous step. Dimensions will vary depending on your own personal preference.

Now, you have multiple boxes on the base. Extrude these boxes up if you want a platform and down if you want a more hollowed place to put your objects. This in turn should give you the walls needed to keep your objects in place.

Finally, to make sure there are no rough edges. Fillet the edges and corner to round them out to ensure it is smooth.
