Easy Chair
This chair is easy to make and can be made in less than an hour. Buying the wood cost about $15AU but if you already have some spare off cuts, it could be made for less.

Cut the Timber
Cut 2 lengths of 70x35mm timber about 150mm long (or two lengths of four by two, 6 inches in length). Sandwich together to create a four by four, securing with white wood glue and two 50mm screws.
Cut off an angle at one of the ends of the 1.2M length of 42x19mm timber. Just gauge the angle to make by eye, then using the angle off cut mark off a parallel angle halfway down the length of timber (about 600mm) and cut off. Cut off a parallel angle at the end of this length too.
Lay one of these pieces on top of the second piece of timber, mark off and cut off two lengths so you end up with 4 identical lengths, each having parallel angles at the ends.
Assemble
Screw three of the legs to the 4 by 4, using 2 screws to secure each leg. Each leg will be angled outwards and flush with the top.
Make the Chair Stable
Make a Washer
Make a washer by drilling a hole into a 10-cent piece.
Attach Seat
Attach a stack of 3 old records to the top with a screw and washer.
Take a Seat
The slight flex in the stacked records cause you to engage your core while seated and encourages good posture.
