Floral Glow – Hand-Painted Bottle Lamp

Creative reuse of waste materials can reduce environmental waste and create beautiful home décor items.Floral Glow transforms a used glass bottle into a hand-painted art piece symbolizing healing, hope, and creativity. Through gentle floral patterns and calming colours, the bottle inspires mindfulness and emotional well-being. This project also promotes sustainability by reusing waste materials and turning them into meaningful art.

Reused glass bottle

Acrylic colours( black,pink,green, white, yellow)

Paint brushes (thin & medium)

Masking tape

Water & cloth

The glass bottle was thoroughly washed with water to remove dust and labels.

After cleaning, the bottle was completely dried.

Masking tape was applied on the middle portion of the bottle to keep it transparent.

The upper and lower portions were left open for painting.

Black acrylic colour was applied on the upper and lower parts of the bottle using a sponge.

Sponge dabbing was used to achieve a smooth and even finish.

The bottle was left to dry completely.

After the paint dried, the masking tape was carefully removed. This revealed a clean transparent glass section in the center.

Using thin brushes, small floral patterns were painted along the borders of the transparent section.

Pink colour was used for the flowers, white for highlights.

Small white dots were added on the black painted areas using a brush. This added a decorative and elegant touch to the bottle. Pink colour was used for the flowers, white for highlights, and green for leaves to enhance the design

The painted bottle was kept aside for complete drying to ensure durability of the artwork.

Fairy lights were carefully inserted inside the bottle. Once switched on, the bottle transformed into a beautiful decorative lamp.

The waste glass bottle was successfully transformed into a handcrafted decorative lamp. This artwork promotes creativity, sustainability, and reuse of waste materials.
