IMG_1910.jpeg

This is a how to draw (sorry for the low resolution pictures also this is kinda long)

Supplies

IMG_2144.jpeg

Paper, pencil, fine liner and colours: coloured pencils or markers and a eraser/rubber

Circle

IMG_2145.jpeg

Start by drawing a circle

Snout

IMG_2146.jpeg

Draw something like a triangle like what I drew

Horns and Ears

IMG_2147.jpeg

add the horn it can be straight, curly, long, short and draw the ear

Neck

IMG_2148.jpeg

Draw a slight curve inwards on the front of the neck and a straight line on the other side

Eyes

IMG_2152.jpeg

Draw the eye and a and top scales and the antenna

Lashes

IMG_2153.jpeg

If you want your silkwing to be a girl add eye lash in the corner of the eye but if you want it to be a boy this step doesn’t matter

Patterns

IMG_2154.jpeg

Find a picture of a butterfly on safari or google and do the patterns from the butterfly on your silkwing

Expression

IMG_2156.jpeg

Add a expression on your silkwing it can be any emotion and I chose worry (you don’t have to do worry)

Wing Pt1

IMG_2158.jpeg

Draw the wing bones but if you want it to be 6 or younger then draw the wing buds

Wing Pt2

IMG_2159.jpeg

Draw the rest of the wing make it look more like butterfly wings not bee wings

Wing Pt3

IMG_2160.jpeg

Remember that butterfly picture you found earlier well if you silkwing has wings then draw the pattern from the butterfly on your silkwing’s wings

Out Lines

IMG_2161.jpeg

Now get your fine liner and redraw the design on top of the pencil lines

Bye Pencil

IMG_2162.jpeg

Rub out the pencil lines so you can only see the fine liner lines

Colour

IMG_2163.jpeg

Colour in you silkwing whatever colours the butterfly had in the picture is the colours you use

The Result

IMG_2163.jpeg

This is my silkwing her name is helenor and she is based of the helenor morpho butterfly
