Basic Laser-Cut Colorado Flag

Supplies

Laser Cutter, 3mm Baltic Birch, Wood Glue, Hot Glue Gun and sticks, Stain/Paint, Magnets X2, Clamps, sacrificial sheet of wood for gluing.

Laser Cut Backboard

Using given DXF, part files, or drawing file, create a laser cut of the backboard for the flag.

Laser Cut Top Layer

Using given DXF, part files, or drawing file, create a laser cut of the top layer for the flag (upper and lower blue bars, C, and sun).

Paint/Stain

Once all parts of the flag are laser cut out, sand down burns if present, and paint/stain to desired color of Colorado flag.

Glue

Once all parts are painted/stained and dried, use a small amount of wood glue to assemble individual pieces of flag into the complete assembly. Clamp assembly down to dry and place a flat buffer sheet between the clamp and flag assembly on both sides.

Magnets

Once the completed assembly has fully dried and cured into a solid flag, evenly place and hot glue two magnets to backside to stick to a fridge if desired.
