Penguin Distance-to-egg Measuring and Alerting
We are elementary school students and this is our very first project. Please share your feedback. Thank you.
We created a penguin with an egg to represent the Penguin Distance Device measuring the distance between it and the penguin's eggs.
Get Supplies
You will need a circuit to make the laser beam (it should be able to locate an egg), and you need something to shine the laser. You need glue. You will also need an elastic strap that fits around your wrist. you will need a screen that can show numbers and symbols. Make sure your supplies are not too big and will fit in a small square area. You need to 3d print the included designs.
Assemble the Device
Once you've gathered the supplies, you need to make the device. First, glue the elastic strap to the bottom of the red box. Then, make the circuit. You need to program it to locate an egg and measure the distance between the device and the egg. If the distance is 5 meters or more, then the device will not do anything. If the distance is less than 5 meters, then the device will beep until the distance becomes 5 meters or more.
Wear Your Device
Wear your device! You are now done.
