Red Velvet Arm Chair

This is not a normal chair. It is a chair inspired by traditional and ancient Iranian furniture and structures. It reflects cultural identity and historical style while also being modernized. It is made with smooth and clean lines and minimal decoration. It is a combination of wood and warm red fabric, which adds visual energy and warmth. We designed it to represent both the past and the present, respecting traditional forms while maintaining a simple and modern style.

Supplies:

5 wooden sheets (3–5 cm)

Laser cutting machine

6 screws

Screwdriver

Red fabric (any color)

Glue

Stapler (optional)

Paint (optional)

We drafted the plan using Adobe Illustrator. We focused on creating a smooth and detailed structure so it would be easy to cut and assemble.

Base (seat): one rectangle with two curved edges and a square cut out of it.

Back: a curved rectangular shape with a smaller curved shape removed.

4 legs: eight rectangular pieces with highly curved (oval shaped) edges.

2 sides: a rectangle with one angled and curved side, with a smaller matching shape removed from it.

4 supports: two small and two larger oval shaped wooden pieces with straight sides.

One of the main challenges was making all the curves smooth and accurate without errors.

Next, we created a stable surface to support the seat (base).

These small wooden pieces were used to attach and secure the back and seat to the sides and legs. We used glue to assemble everything together, but if the wood is soft and flexible, a stapler can also be used.

Now the chair is complete. You can paint or add decorative details to the wooden parts if desired.

This design can be used in a bedroom, office, living room, or store. If you want to create a dignified and strong atmosphere, this type of structure and furniture works well. It represents both cultural heritage and modern simplicity.🌼🍀🏆
