"THE THINKER" STATUETTE
"The Thinker" by Auguste Rodin, is a bronze sculpture seated on a large rock, in a posture of deep thought and contemplation. Mine is more of a cartoonish representation, suitable as an ornament.

CUT/ DRILL
Download the template pdf. It is on a 1” grid. Enlarge or decrease it so the Thinker can sit on your stone with feet flat on your base. Cut out the template and trace it on to your wood. Drill the eye and cut out the shape with your scroll saw.
SAND/ PAINT
Sand the figure.Slightly round over the sharp edges. Paint with your choice of colours. I used 2 coats of a dark green/ black mix and, when dry, sponged bronze over it to approximate the original weathered statue.
ASSEMBLE
Mix the epoxy. Glue the rock to the base. Glue the seat of the statue to the rock and the foot to the base.
